30 weeks

The fine lanugo hair that has been growing all over me is going to start falling off this week in preparation for the big day. I am getting even cuter with increasingly pudgy arms and legs this week thanks to the ever-growing layers of subcutaneous fat. I should be weighing in at around 3 pounds 12 ounces (or more!) and be nearly 16 inches long.

29 weeks

I have been moving alot lately. Aunt Jennifer felt me kicking mum too and she was alarmed. "That's a very powerful kick!"

I am afraid of dad's hands though. When he placed it on mum's tummy, I will quickly stop moving. *Blek*

I have been peeing and swallowing the fluids around me (So if you didn’t know before, now you can tell people, that yes, you drank your own urine—you were still in the womb, but nonetheless, you’ve been there). I know its disgusting! But a baby has got to learn somewhere. Anyway, I have developed a series of hiccups: a fairly common occurrence at this point resulting from practicing breathing.

28 weeks

My little “cute” kicks are getting stronger these days and mummy is having hard time moving about. Not as agile as before. Hahaha!

I did a little bit of exercise the other day and my knee cap was seen on the outside protruding like a little pyramid. Let's just say, Mum wasn't too happy and slowly massaged my little knee cap back inside with one finger.

Yesterday was Mummy's doctor appointment. Dad asked the doctor, "Well, she has been complaining alot about the baby kicking and moving non stop, do you have anything to minimise the effect?"

Doctor was shocked and looked at Daddy for the longest time before muttering.

"Well, baby is active and awake most of the time. It's good and it means baby is healthy. There is nothing you can do about it."

Daddy is back

Daddy is back from Johor and I get to hear his voice again. I played hide and seek with him yesterday when he placed his hand on mum's tummy. I stayed quiet and didn't move but when he took off his hand, I started kicking again. *Blek*

27 weeks and 3 days

I should be about 2 pounds and 14.5 inches long!. Slowly rotating in preparation to “head out.” My little lungs are already capable of breathing air while the pulmonary vascular system can provide sufficient gas exchange and the central nervous system can generally regulate rhythmic breathing as well as their basal body temperature. For what it’s worth, at this point in a healthy pregnancy a premature child (with intensive care) could easily win on the show: “Survivor: The Early Years.”

26 weeks and 6 days

I am a swimmer in the womb according to some baby website. My little eyelids have finally separated (they were fused closed previously) and I am having my first moments of my sight. I also recently acquired the ability to say “yes” and “no” in rudimentary sign language as I can now move my head back and forth. Hurray! My hair is starting to grow! Also, my toenails have grown in and this is disgusting but I am slowly piling up fat beneath my still-loose skin. The same goes for my brain tissue and neurons which are all developing at a rapid pace, increasing my (genius-level?) brain activity! I hear Einstein. *blek*

Welcome

This is my first posting. A warm welcome to everyone.
