9th week

Just two days at the nanny and my boy doesn't like me carrying him or feeding him. It's like he is angry that I put him there and he refuses to have anything to do with me.

I am heartbroken.

7th week and 8th week

Baby reached a new milestone. He babbles when he sees dad and the mobile music teddy bears.

He also smiles at me when he feels like it, usually in the morning. Not quite sure whether its him smiling or what the expert would call it the involuntary smile. Whatever!

As far as the crying goes, it is usually at night and it's not as bad as the last two weeks. I force the pacifier on him. He will usually spits it out. I will hold on to pacifier and forcing him to suck. The sucking of the pacifier will make him sleepy on most occasion and I can then do my houseworks when he is sleeping.

When I carry him chest to chest with his head resting on my shoulders, Jonathan is able to lift his head momentarily. Babies sure grow at a fantastic speed. They are able to do new things every week, my two cents.

6th week

Jon is temperamental. He is one hell of a fuss pot. He doesn't sleep at one location and the temperature should be just right. If the place is too hot, he cries and vice versa.

He has been very moody lately, usually at night. I suspect he is suffering from colic. Hubby is not too pleased with him and well, I tend to separate the two of them at night. Poor me have to take care of Jonathan at night alone.

Jonathan doesn't like to wait for his milk. When he whimpers you have better start preparing the milk or else when he cries, it's no longer an easy feed. He will arch his back and kicks. Making it so hard to carry him let alone feeding him.

He sure delivers a good kick and he's kicking them all over the place. Changing diapers is not as easy as previously and he has pee on my legs and my arms. I hope my face will not be the next target.

When he is older, I shall enrol him for taekwando lessons. *Blek*

5th week

Rushed back to Renggam on 22nd December 2009. My parents in law want to see Jonathan.

Reached the house at around 9:30am. MIL rushed out from the house when we reached home.

"I didn't expect you all to come back so early."
"Oh....yadda..yadda..blahh..." *smile*
"What time did you leave KL?" *creating some idle chat while peering into the car*
"Left KL at 6am" *opening the car door*
"Where's the baby?"
"Neh...here he is."
"Oh....so cute....baby...you are back in Johor..blah..blah" *grabbing the baby together with the baby carrier he was sleeping in and entering the house, leaving both moi and Jeff at the foyer*

This my friend is what we call, sense of importance is almost zero and what the chinese would always say, "Want the kid but not the mother!"

Jon had his hepatitis jab. We found a child specialist here and I must say, I am real impressed with his professionalism comparing to the one I went to in Assunta. I am deciding whether I should come back to Johor again next month for Jon’s next jab as Jeff would be coming back for his company annual dinner.

4th week

He has developed a huge appetite for milk and his moods varies between good and foul. *Blek*

When the baby wants his milk, means he wants it NOW! There is just no such thing as "Wait a while". Jon is one fierce baby.

We gave the nanny some time off at night by taking care of Jonathan which prove to be a mammoth task. Two hourly feed is certainly killing me softly.

Apart from that, I have been busy with confirmation on the people coming to Jon's full moon party.
